Oshibana at Pädaste Manor -

Oshibana at Pädaste Manor

13 June – 31 August

To press a flower is to honour its form without altering its truth.

Beginning this June weekend, we invite you to step into the delicate world of Oshibana — the ancient Japanese art of pressed flowers — through an artist Kai Lillekaardid (Kai’s Framed Flower Mosaics), whose works speak to the quiet power of nature & the subtle discipline of observation.

Historically part of the samurai’s mental training, Oshibana was once practiced to cultivate deep focus, patience, & awareness. Today, it offers a kindred stillness — a practice of mindfulness & elegance for those seeking beauty that speaks softly but resonates deeply.

Friday, June 13 | Exhibition Opening „Oshibana at Pädaste“

An invitation to observe closely.

We begin unveiling Kai’s Framed Flower Mosaics — original works composed of handpicked Baltic flora, presented in a private exhibition at Pädaste Manor — the tenth in a series of exhibitions held over the past two years. Each piece is a meditation in itself — composed with reverence, crafted without chemicals, and framed to preserve the subtle textures and hues of the living plant world.

Select works will be available for purchase. Collectors may also inquire about commissioning bespoke pieces featuring only species native to Muhu Island.

Exhibition will remain open until 31st of August.

Open every day 10:00 – 19:00

Exhibition visit is included in the park entrance fee.
